RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP KICKSTART TRAVEL GRANT (BIOLOGY)
The grants are for early-career researchers, particularly PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, who are looking to take the next step in their research career. support short research visits, training opportunities, or conference travel that help researchers gain new skills or experience. Aim of the grant is to support career development, build confidence, and help researchers establish new collaborations or directions, especially at key transition points in their careers. Travelling Fellowship (BiOLOGY)
£3,000 Description: For early-career researchers (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers) and provide funding for short research visits to another laboratory, either in the UK or abroad. Aim: to enable researchers to learn new techniques, access specialised equipment, and establish international research collaborations that are not available at their home institution. Deadline: 7 August (recurring)
International Exchanges (STEM - natural sciences, including biological research, biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics)
£12,000 For UK-based researchers who wish to collaborate with international research partners. The scheme provides funding for short research visits, exchanges, and networking activities between the UK and partner countries. Aim: to support the development of long-term international research collaborations, enable knowledge exchange, and lay the foundations for future joint research projects and funding applications. Deadline: 24 September 2026 (3 deadlines per year)
